# 2 swamp bowl

1 pound of brown speckled clay thrown into a medium walled bowl shape with some inward curve at the lip. Before bisque intermittent scrapes were placed on the outside surface of the bowl using a needle tool to create a textured surface. A red iron oxide glaze is added to a portion of the bowl surface. Floating blue is poured inside the bowl and dumped to coat. Finally sea-foam-green is added to the other half of the bowl over the red iron oxide. Some of the glaze is scraped and wiped away to expose the raw clay and create a tortured edge.

#5 Noodles Treat Bowl

2 pounds of brown speckled clay thrown into a thin walled storage bowl shape with a thin lid. The letters were hand built and placed on the bowl.  Two holes are drilled into the lid after bisque to old a wire wrapped around spiral noodles to form a handle. Red iron oxide was placed on the letters to darken the face, and the entire bowl and lid was dipped into floating blue. 

This is the 5th ceramic object I've made and the piece was given to Noodle for her 2nd birthday (filled with treats obviously). 

# 6 Pho Bowl

1.5 pounds of brown speckled clay thrown into a medium walled bowl shape and flared out at the top. After bisque, the bowl was dipped into blueberry glaze at an angle and red iron oxide was painted on at the boarder between the raw clay and blueberry. The bowl was then dipped into floating blue to cover the exposed clay and iron oxide.

#7 Mug

1.5 pounds of brown speckled clay thrown into a medium walled mug shape and flared out generously at the bottom and top. The handle was pulled off the mug into a thick oval shape with an arch suited for large hands. The mug was dipped into floating blue by the handle and flipped to dip the handle into eggshell white.

#8 Blueberry Tea set

Cup: A little over 1 pound of brown speckled clay thrown into a medium walled mug shape and flared out at the bottom and top. Before bisque intermittent angled dents were placed on the outside surface of the bowl using a wooden stick tool to create a textured surface.

​Small tea bag bowl: A little over 1 pound of brown speckled clay thrown into a small cylinder. 

Both pieces: dunked in blueberry glaze to fully coat. The top is dipped into floating blue to about 1/4 inch.

This set is the 8th piece I've made and was given to
